Legal Tech Italy is the permanent observatory on the evolution of the legal tech sector in Italy, created by Kopjra. Since 2015, with Legal Tech Forum, it is a conference that in 7 editions has involved more than 200 speakers, selected from leading Italian and international law firms, and 3,000 participants from all over Italy.
Since 2018, with Legal Tech Academy, it is an elearning platform that allows lawyers to stay up-to-date on industry news. From 2019, with Legal Tech Map, it is an interactive map of the Italian ecosystem. From 2020, with Legal Tech Awards, it is an award for startups and young talents. From 2021, with Legal Tech Report, it is an in-depth industry analysis, also available in print format. From 2024, with Legal Tech Magazine, it is an online publication that chronicles legal tech in Italy through the voices of its protagonists.
Legal Tech Forum is the first conference in Italy dedicated to legal technologies. Since 2015 it has been chronicling the state of the art of the sector according to the point of view and direct experience of influential speakers. It is a day when the Italian ecosystem meets, a moment of critical but constructive discussion on the future of law and an opportunity to delve into complex topics of current events and trends.

The conference, which celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2025, will bring together professionals and enthusiasts in Bologna, its chosen venue, to discuss the most decisive issues of the legal tech panorama. The 2025 edition will see the return of protagonists and contents that have made the history of the conference, but also the entry of new themes and actors that mark a constantly evolving ecosystem.
Discover Legal Tech Forum 2025The seventh edition, held again in presence, explored in 3 insightful panels the following topics: Artificial Intelligence, Legal Transformation, Metaverse, Blockchain, Legal Design, Cyber Security and Digital Forensics.
The sixth edition, entirely online, further expanded the topics covered, addressing Cyber Insurance, DeFi, Legal Design, Non-Fungible Token, Open Source Intelligence, and Smart Contracts.
The fifth edition, entirely online, maintained the previous themes but saw the introduction of a panel dedicated to Legal Transformation, as well as giving a voice to the most promising under-30s.
The fourth edition further expanded the topics covered, addressing Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Blockchain, Cyber Security, Data Protection, Digital Forensics and Legal Design.
The third edition maintained the guidelines of the previous one but addressed new topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Blockchain, Data Protection, Industry 4.0 and Robotics.
The second edition saw a substantial expansion of the topics covered, addressing 3D Printing, Crowdsourcing, Digital Single Market, Internet of Things, Open Data and Sharing Economy.
The first edition, although focused on Intellectual Property, a topic close to Kopjra, saw the involvement of leading Italian legal tech startups and some venture capital funds.
Legal Tech Academy is the first elearning platform in Italy dedicated to legal technologies. It provides dozens of hours of high-level training, taught by the industry's best-known professionals, covering complex topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Cyber Security & Digital Forensics, Data Protection, Intellectual Property, Legal Design, Legal Tech & Legal Transformation.
The Legal Tech Academy courses are provided in partnership with P4I - Partners4Innovation, a company part of the Digital360 Group, through the 360DigitalSkill e-learning platform, a training tool that guides companies along the digital transformation path.
In Italy, for a decade now, we have been witnessing the development of innovative entrepreneurial realities in the legal sector, focused mainly on the implementation of technological solutions.
Legal Tech Map is the first interactive online map with the aim of permanently surveying the protagonists of the legal technology sector. It counts about a hundred innovative legal tech realities divided among business projects, university spinoffs, startups and scaleups.
Information such as company name, VAT number, address and website, as well as date of incorporation, number of employees and operating revenues for the last three years are reported for each reality.
Startups were evaluated on the basis of numerous parameters, both qualitative and quantitative. The ranking was determined by the resulting Legal Tech Italy Score, a proprietary indicator that examines cost effectiveness, profitability, financial strength and value distribution.

The Italian Legal Tech Report is the first survey that microscopically examines the state of the art of legal technologies in Italy and the players involved, with the aim of observing, data at hand, the economic growth of the sector. It is the result of an aggregate analysis of the innovative legal tech realities surveyed in Legal Tech Map.
The report consists of a quantitative section, which analyzes in great detail some economic-financial indicators using a proprietary performance indicator (Legal Tech Italy Score), and a qualitative one, namely a series of expert contributions edited by professionals who have distinguished themselves in the Italian legal tech scene. Each contribution offers a unique point of view on the industry's perspectives, with suggestive medium-term forecasts.
